Ill Tip You In The App - But No Tip Appears
Is it just me?
It seems that every time someone says they will tip in the app, there is no tip.
I have to wonder if the customer is just being an asshole and trying to get 5 stars, or if Uber is taking the tip from us.
For the last customer that did this, the next day I put in a complaint through the app and asked Uber to switch the rating to one star and explained the reason.
Not that I'm entitled to a tip, but come on, don't lie to drivers.
I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Are other drivers seeing this as a norm too?

The check is in the mail. Uber is a great career choice. I'm only doing this part time, my real job is as a writer. I'm a social media influencer. Just the tip. I had a wonderful time on our date, I'll call you tomorrow.

Interesting , never heard that before , maybe it’s just a Canadian thing ? Nice people , but in my dealings with them in the states , they tend not to tip 🤷♂️Is it just me?

Just do what I used to do when I drove RideShare - one star rating for each dollar tipped in cash, up to the maximum of five. More cash in the pocket means less cash reported to the uncle.
