IHOP uses plastic to-go bags. Have (L) size but probably have a (S) size also, either way id ask them to throw the drink(s) in a extra bag. Seems wasteful in normal times but in Pandemic times its viewed by many customers as thoughtful delivery person.

Ask for an extra lid.
Put a napkin over first lid and cover with second lid. Also, ask them not to fill. This lid looks like it has enough space to fold and stuff a napkin in.

Damn that sucks considering how busy they are. The one here is great (other than the drinks). Very well-run and they prioritize delivery orders

No, I've posted about my aversion to places that serve fountain drinks.
Second lid just makes sense because the 2nd lid also should be used to replace first lid if it's a mess.
Haven't done food delivery since 2017, but wherever others see problems, I always look at the possibilities.
