I won't explain much, but in short:
1, Comfort doesn't have the same multiplier like X does, just like sometimes Uber Black is cheaper than UberX. So in surge area it pays less than UberX. This change was made to Comfort and XL trips after UFF.
2, It has higher chances for long pick up, because fewer people order it and fewer drivers qualify.
3, You have to wait at the pickup location for total of 10 minutes before you can cancel and get the cancellation fee.

Ive heard from other markets its the worst for airport ques as well, not worth it. The whole comfort category was a scam to kill off "select". Uber can still charge customers "select" prices but pay drivers "comforts", which is a big pay cut. So many select drivers were screwed over and angry at Fuber, their cars overnight became "useless".

Where do you turn it off? I don't see it in my options where I can select share, delivery, etc.......Can't you just not accept the trip?

Non busy hours it's nice to get the occasional comfort as they do pay a bit more in those circumstances. (My Forester doesn't qualify for XL but does for Comfort).

I believe to qualify for comfort the car needs to be 5 years or newer and the driver needs to be 4.85 or higher, so the same to select. They rebranded it. Anyway this is supposed to be poor man version of Uber black, doesn’t have black payout. XL was nerfed after UFF the same way, but the base fare was high enough that in surge areas it still pays better than X.

10 min wait is awful. I wonder if Lux drivers fare any better than Comfort in Chicago. The cars listed are much nicer as you might get picked up by a Bentley Continental Flying Spur...

I've never experienced that.

Yea when I got xl only I’ll have a higher surge, add x and it’ll drop instantly most of the time… the one I love the most is when it’s surging hardcore and I go online and all of a sudden all the surge disappears cause I went online, which seems to happen often lol
