Has the designated waiting area changed? Drove by this morning, the lot was empty.

Yes. They moved it to the right side and doubled the depth so goes all way back to the far fence.
I noticed on labor day, they moved to the right side and doubled the size, it is the whole right side. Money talks. There are 5star class restrooms as well.

They are trying to get attention of ants and acumulate 200 drivers in average.
200 queues will be the death of some folks.
The pig pens should be kept small and artificially capped at 50, this is ridiculous. Anything more than 50 is a waste of time and the place looks like a wasteland.

Thanks for the response.
IAD is good for full time sleep here, eat here. I'll QUIT UBER driver and put 10 mobile coin shower here. People can move from Seattle to here make good money. DCA not a rest area for full time any more.

Smells like one too. I agree. Smaller size and let the surge come. Problem is all the McDs would whine when an army of drivers collectively urinate on the dumpsters at 11pm

Was there today dropping off (9/20). Went by the waiting area to pee but didn't park in the stockade. Wow, all the port-a-johns were overflowing! Disgusting.

Went online. Usually it says I have to go to the waiting area, but this time it assumed I was in the waiting area and said I was #111 in the queue. I guess there were 110 drivers there. Holy cow, I can't imagine doing that. I went offline then online again on my way out of the airport, and it gave me the same "#111 in line" message. Either nobody had gotten a ride in the past 10 minutes, or it always says "#111 in line" when you're at the airport but not in the corral.

Later last week, I forget the day, but it was morning, I counted no more than 20 cars, and they were driving out for pickups about one every 20 seconds. At THAT time, it seemed like a good thing to do even if a short ride. Any ride for me is better than simply deadheading back down 28. But I won't hang around like many of them were, sitting on the ground and playing with their phones. I'd rather burn up gas than just sit there for hours.

Absolutely agree! how can these poor saps sit there and waste their time? just hanging out, drinking coffee.

When I'm out Ubering, my time is precious because as you all know, Uber earnings are measured by time spent driving. These guys are hoping to get a what $20, $30, $40 pickup after waiting how long? 45 minutes?

You know what, at the end of the day, the more ants sitting around at the airport lots, the less drivers out there competing for my bottom line.

UBER measured by time $17/ hr(max), by mile $0.60/ mile , gas 10% at 33 MPG, Domino's guy $ 1.80/mile.

I really meant to say "measured by time spent driving".
Yes, I have 12 month both time and mile average income data(excluded IAD ) using EXCEL. I can post image
