I used an Uber cab yesterday during surge. A journey that usually costs £3, should have cost £3.90 if the driver followed the specified route.
He decided to take a long way around, which increased the fare to just over £4.
This was wrong of the driver to do that. He didn't once ask or say a word to why he deviated from the route.
This resulted in a 1* rating and a poor feedback, which in the end, Uber then removed the extra surcharge element and brought the fare down to £3.
£1 doesn't break the bank, but it was all about the principal of the journey. The route the guy took wasn't even clogged up due to traffic. It was a nice clear straight run. His journey took longer and I believe he purposely took a longer route to try and get more money out of surge.
Advice to you all, be careful with what routes you decide to take as Uber will refund the pax without telling you.
On one other occasion, I gave the driver 4 stars and noted that his wheel bearing had gone as it was making an awful noise. Uber refunded me the journey fare without me asking for it.

There are no words to describe what a schmuck you are. I'll bet you complain to the waiter about every little thing when you go out to dinner. And then sneak out without leaving a tip. GET A LIFE SLEEZEBAG.

I'm coming to London soon to dish out 1* ratings!!!! And then to get a refund!
I also sometimes make bookings from here in Leicester to make all you dogs in London run for the next booking, but then cancel it within 5 minutes, so I don't get charged! Nice to make a dog run!
