I read some drivers have joined a Class Action Suit, siting they want to be "Employees". So they get reemberrsed for, gas, maintnance, get unemployment and such. You want to be an "EMPLOYEE"...? Still trying to figure on how they think they'd get unemployment though. Even if a driver was terminated odds are they did something that was detrimental to the job which on any case would disallow them from recieving benefits all together. Now if a driver was let go do to performance then Uber would then have the defense of the "so called training class" to assist the driver on improving there rating or what not. I understand where these people are coming from but there points make absolutely no frickin sense. Now the gas factor. Cabs don't get reimbursed for there gas, Uber drivers aren't Cab drivers, Uber has provided no company vehicle that earns the driver a right to get reimbursed for any kind of expense used. I'm with Bubba Uber on and shut the hell up.

This fight is simply about the Degree of Control that Uber's exercises over all aspects of Drivers' Operations. Uber classifies Drivers as ICs, but it treats them as Employees.
