Uber is kinda like gambling... you win a few pots and your up a some bucks ..just like uber .. a good week ...then you lose it all plus everything you brought because you kept hoping it would get better and you’d get ahead ... instead you lose ..just like uber ... you make crap pay , wear out your car and get frustrated and depressed...

Uber is not a quality Company and management has no idea how to run a business, especially a transportation business where they do not own any vehicles. Their "partners" own the vehicles. We "partners" should walk, shut it down, boycott, protest, expose the disfunctional in the day to day, the lack of customer service - where an algorithm answers for first customer service questions or situations with nothing to do what the issue is (based on key words in your note or email to them.) They roll out benefits to "partners" and then roll them back, they lower rates, they create a Pool cash cow for themselves, they don't really care about their business model or success and cannot keep it together. The BOD should sell it now to competent people and investors. Move on. Wow!

Rideshare is a miserable full time job. Do you hear any commercials saying to quit your job and do Uber full time? No. If you know what you’re doing and have some free time after work or on the weekend then rideshare can be really good supplemental income or side hustle as Uber likes to say. That being said, when I’m done with rideshare, I’ll probably be one of those guys who purposely buys a coupe to ensure that I never return to driving people around...

However even though I am critical of it I must say that it has provided a platform that allows me to not have to work a 9-5 job while shifting career focus and you can make more than many of your friends and live pretty well.

Back when I started driving, the Uber commercials said "I drive p/t, and I make more that I did at my full-time job".

It never happened. I fell for it, then I got out. I hope you do did too.
