3 months ago at Euston road hit the scooter 🛴 little girl cross the road while the traffic was green but she wasn’t injured but police were involved and I gave them my dash camera footage, now I’ve been charged with careless driving I just received the court letter . Yes...phone them and they will appoint a case worker!..best £7 a month you will ever spend!
Also...of course you plead not guilty,did you intentionally aim to hit the scooter?

This is nothing but a Prelude to a civil lawsuit. Next you'll be served with a civil suit for bodily injury and pain/suffering lawsuit.

I'm sure the girls parents hired a lawyer and the lawyer pressed the issue for the ticket. That way the lawyer has something to go to civil court against.

If the officer really thought you were at Fault at the accident scene, I'm sure they would issue a citation immediately.

Alan, you presumably have legal support with your insurance. Union apart (always helpful, however I do not entirely trust them), revert to your insurer. I had similar case 4-5 years ago (hitting the cyclist) and lawyers proven the cyclist hit me. As well I had a proposal to plead guilty (it is a part of procedure), I did not and I won. Keep your head up, you're not guilty until proven otherwise. Best of luck.

Find a good lawyer that specializes in traffic law.
Then after you win counter sue you will make thousands they did you a favor.
