Someone requested Uber Pool and put the wrong destination. It was off by a half mile and further than the original. They wanted me to go the extra distance. I refused out of principle. Said that I would not get paid for the extra distance. They had no cash and didn't want to request a second ride. Told them that the city bus driver won't let someone ride one stop for free and when you pay bus fare for a ride you get bus service.
20 degrees outside and snowing, yup he was cheap.

They managed to get to you in under 2 minutes or did you actually wait longer for a Pool ride rather than driving a block so you can get moving and actually get paid? Who's the joke really on here...
No, he gave the pax the ride. But the pax wanted to change the destination mid ride and the driver told him to fork off because it was Pool. He dropped him at the original destination.

I would've told them they could TIP me with their credit card and my square reader...and never take pool again.

i get a nice fuzzy warm feeling reading stories like this.......like sitting around a cozy warm fire, sipping hot chocolate listening to uber-tales about cheap uberpoolers struggles of pulling a couple bucks out of their pocket for tip but instead braves the wind, cold, and snow............*sip*.......ahhhhhhhhhhh.

I don't know about you, but I find this disturbing. You take your anger out on the Pax for something that Uber is promoting them to do. I can clearly see if it was a long distance away, then at that point. You made someone get out and walk in the snow??? Thats kind of F'd up....

For the measly half mile, I would have just dropped them, and then maybe 1 starred them, but I would not have left them in the snow.

Take him where he wants to go and put in a fare review to charge the correct amount.

The extra half mile would have taken about 5-10 minutes with the traffic, and I got a stacked X ride on surge near the original destination. Do I give up the stacked ride letting a cheapskate ride for free? Keep in mind that they were too cheap to request a new ride or tip me. With Pool they get exactly what they paid for

So this is some new information not in your original post.

1st: When did you know that the address was incorrect?
2nd: Did you confirm destination, prior to leaving pick up location
3rd: If you did not know address was incorrect, and you did not confirm destination. Did you accept the stacked ping, before or after you were now aware.

Your original post is more about boasting how you left a guy out in the cold, versus additional details that would have painted a different pic.
