I know this is a delivery board, but many here do rideshare as well. Do you have a carry permit?

We don't need one in Utah anymore, so no. But also a "no" to carrying. I own a couple of handguns but I don't feel the need to have one in my car. When I go on long road trips I bring one along but not when doing RS.

I've tried to suggest to folks that disclosing what you do or don't do in this realm might cause you trouble if there was ever an incident and you were subject to discovery.

Assuming you disclose your personal information, which I'd hope most people wouldn't do on any internet forum.

If they're able to pull up your entire deleted search history on Google, I think they could figure out your identity on a Forum if it was absolutely necessary. IP addresses and all that good stuff are never truly gone

The issue with discovery in a case is that the other side will ask for all sorts of information related to the issue. If you don't hand over that evidence then you are in serious jeopardy if they find it later. I don't know what the charge is but you've essentially committed perjury and undermined your case. It's easy to mess up (like email confirmations in another account) or the opposition to go hunting.

Talk about industrial strength stupidity. Not only is she begging to get fired, she's also begging to get the gun stolen and possibly used on her. SMH

Such holders are probobly ok for general carrying while you're driving and NOT doing rideshare , in case you were to get carjacked by a random stranger.

However such holders are very ill advised for us. Like other's have said someone can just grab your gun and now they have a gun and you don't. Purse/bag carry is bad for the same reason.

Wasteband draw is just not practical while seated .

I carry mine in a fanny pack holster. I also keep my cash in it for making change. (different pocket from the gun)

The way it sits when I'm seated and buckled is on my left side, the zipper is also on the left meaning someone would have to reach WAY over accross my waist to get my gun.

Most people just assume i'm a dork wearing a fanny pack. Which I TOTALLY AM!

Which to be fare is what I want people to think right up until i shoot their theiving robbing asses.

Let's say I have a full load in the car. A customer offers to let me take off my fanny pack because I look uncomfortable.

"Nahh I have like $60 in here"

I completely rational reason not to take it off.

I mean it;s a really dorky solution and honestly the best one i've found in 13 years for carrying while driving and not wanting to wear like 20 layers to keep my gun from printing. (being visible under clothing).

the only downside is that there's no way to look cool wearing it.

Speaking of Nashville...
One of our company's programmers, who is from Chicago, moved to Tennessee.
At a carshop, while he was waiting on his car, there were several people also waiting, and showing each other their guns.
My guy almost crapped his pants. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Tennessee, like many Southern states, you don't need a permit to carry. (for most people)

NC is the same, you don't need a permit to carry, I'm not sure about concealed carry. We used to need a permit, they may have dropped that. It was quite an eye opener for me coming from NYC. I had been indoctrinated that gun = bad always, had to learn that there is another side to the issue.

Since I can work my w2 from my home office anywhere in the world, I spend 7 months in Florida and 5 in NY. Florida is now no permit needed. NYC and NYC Metro area is impossible to get a permit and if you get caught in NYC with a gun it is a 1 year MANDATORY sentence. (Criminals don't get charged with weapon possession). Talk about 2 total extreme opposites!

You are opening a can of worms now.
Or should I say Pandora's Box?

Not until july 1st my friend

.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill (HB) 543 which strengthens Floridians’ Second Amendment rights by allowing Floridians to carry concealed weapons without a government-issued permit. HB 543 goes into effect on July 1, 2023, making Florida the 26th state to enact Constitutional Carry legislation.
