Recruiting Uber fodder is where the cash is at, especially if you have even a small amount of internet marketing knowledge.

I have no problem in signing up Uber drivers, I just have a problem with the morons that actually drive for Uber, recruit new drivers and then come on here and complain about lack of pings.

If if wasn't for the whale of a select ride I had today mine would've been abysmal. Also started the day out at 4am with a 20 dollar select trip that posted to yesterday's numbers. A few hours of today's totals was select on from home.

I always find Mondays to be the most profitable weekday, I also don't drive after 5pm during the weekdays. FYI only 6 rides today, 5 Select 1 UberX

That sucks. I started around 4:30 and was looking for that good pasadena to lax that I hold so dear and I got pinged to Shakespeare Dr. in San Marino. If there's ever been an lax run at 4:30am on Monday morning, it's coming from Shakespeare Dr. in San Marino.

Except this morning. Kid working at Ralph's. Got better later but it wouldn't have if not for some damn jezebel giving me an urgent feeling of wanting to get the hell out of my house.

Pretty slow during 5-10pm boost period. There is probably more metal drivers than ever before.

Still managed to get somegood fares.
Lots of dead miles though.

Started 2 hrs later than usual and quit 4 hrs earlier than usual. That accounts to 12 trips more at $10 a trip average minimum which would have been at least another $120 by 9pm.

Wish we had boost here.
No boost, no surge anymore.
Just a flood of drivers.
95°+ heat and 90% humidity.
Not good for tourists either.

I didn't drive today, as i took monday off, but from experience, its usually the best day to work besides weekend. I really don't get why people drive select. Uber is for cheap people who don't want to pay the cost of a taxi. People who have the money to order select, wouldn't they just order a limo, driver, or service? I just don't think there are enough fares to go around to make a living doing select... and why would you want to put those kinds of miles on a nice car? Again, I could be wrong, but it just doesn't make business sense.

There's a market for it. It's small. But it's there. Business people and some upper class folks who don't want to be in some of the crappy cars on X. The thing is there's just too much supply so it's extremely difficult to survive on it alone. There are some here that have done it and continue to make a good haul on select on a daily basis though.

For myself, I do well taking advantage of the folks who have no other option but to get me on select. The early morning airport runs and late nights after bars close.
