I dropped off a rider from Winchester to McCarran last night. I got pulled over and was about to get a ticket but was able to get off with a warning. He told me that all County properties was off limits to Uber. Folks, Do Not pickup or drop off at McCarran or the Convention Center. I know Uber has not told us anything, but this is your warning!

Tim, out of curiosity, police, pull you over for code violations all the time without consideration to a criminal act. I see there as being a code violation - not operating at a county facility with proper [insert legal instrument of your choice] and validated right to operate.

Having said this, I am very interested in what you are doing overall and see it as highly valuable to all "partner" drivers.

Per NRS (Nevada Revised Statutes) 484A.900 https://www.leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-484A.html#NRS484ASec900:

It is unlawful and, unless otherwise declared in chapters 484A to 484E, inclusive, of NRS with respect to a particular offense, it is a misdemeanor

That means that any violation of the Nevada traffic laws is a misdemeanor, which is a crime, and thus police have the authority to detain you.

The ticket I received at McCarran was a civil parking citation for "loading/unloading zone violation". And while refusing to pay such a citation may not result in your arrest, there are "administrative" penalties, such as DMV will not renew your registration. Unfortunately, one must allow this to happen to show harm to have standing in a local court, and the administrative appeals process is a joke with no due process procedures whatsoever. This is why you need to go to federal court over the constitutional violation of having detained you to cite you civilly in the first place.
Tim, what you are saying is 100 percent accurate. However the courts do not follow the constitution, they haven't since I believe it was 1933 when we went bankrupt. We are no longer under the constitution when we walk into metro court. We are under judicial law. You are correct when you say you need to take it to federal court. Very few people that end up in federal court ever win, they always try to trip you up. Most people do not know enough about the law.
