I used to think we could drive anywhere uber is available. That was back when I first started doing this 6 months ago.

My market is ATL, but I'm in FL a lot because my family is there. I had hoped I could drive in Orlando and ATL, but of course that's not happening unfortunately.

My parents live near Disney. Their backyard is literally behind animal kingdom. I figured I could give rides back and forth to Disney all day. Driving up and down Bronson memorial.

Then I found out u guys only get 63 cents a mile. That's ridiculously low especially for a tourist town.

I need to find out the rates for lyft in Orlando cause I'm thinking about switching my market there on that platform.

lyft is about the same, .67 cents/mile .9 cents/minute i think. However, lyft allows people to tip within the app. Not everyone tips, but a higher percentage of riders do vs Fuber since they can do so without carrying cash.

Thanks for the response. I'm thinking anything is better than nothing. I need to earn money while I'm down there and I don't use lyft much here in ATL. Lyft coverage area isn't nearly as expansive as uber is here unfortunately. I live out in the suburbs, about 35 miles north of downtown. Lyft just isn't nearly as busy out here as uber is.

How is lyft in the Disney area?

I drive down in Miami and drove up to Orlando to visit friends. Emailed Uber and Lyft before I left to ask about driving in other cities. Lyft said it's not possible that I can only have one area in my profile (however, I turned on the app anyway and have been getting rides). Uber said if I'm approved for Miami then I can drive the whole state because Miami is the only area with special requirements (all it is is an inspection done by a certified mechanic), so not sure if you got that inspection if you could drive in Miami as well if you're approved for Orlando. It's slow as molasses after Elsa froze it over in the Disney area right now though.
