I'm a part-time driver. When I read on this forum that I can make $1,000 a week driving full time in San Francisco it made the whole tipping business moot for me. $4,000 a month is good money in my book.

Used Prius of course.

You may make a $1000 in REVENUE, that's not what ends in your pocket though. And you can certainly drive so much (commuting and or hunting for trips) and so aimlessly that your take home is less than you think. Tips are nice but wont change fundamentally your pay... and if you dont care about your hourly rate, even better, then continue being a happy driver for $1000/week.
