This morning I took one of my more memorable trips.

Not much surge was happening in Mo'town where I was so I took a 45+ and figured it was a city trip and was going to take it. Pickup was at huge home with one of those long ass driveways. I wait 2 minutes and send text. A minute later a woman comes out and says she needs a few more minutes. Maybe 4 minutes later she gets in the car. We are going to Saks Fifth Avenue.

She immediately gets on phone and calls her mother saying she just had big violent fight with her husband. Apparently it involved her smashing dishes and other assorted nonsense. 10 minutes later she is on phone with said husband and had a full on screaming and crying meltdown cursing him out for the next 45 minutes.

She hangs up on him about 10 minutes before the drop and apologizes for screaming but says, "I know it wasn't fair to you but this is my f-ing life." She asks for my advice and I'm nice to her and told her to find her own happiness, blah blah. I really just wanted her out of the car but did give her my full attention.

And hour and forty minute ride in horrible traffic with a woman having a screaming match with her husband and I earned $48 and no tip.

I'm not crying about the money as I knew it wasn't going to be a super profitable ride. I'm curious if my fellow drivers would have asked her to stop screaming or if you would have ended the ride and dropped her in a safe location. I'm a compassionate person and it was obvious she was having a bad day, but she had the biggest meltdown I've ever witnessed. And from her conversation with hubby it became apparent to me that she's not a very nice person and came off as quite petty. So what would you have done?

I had a woman on Saturday I would have quickly thrown out if she was anyone else but a little old lady with a walker in my trunk.

That's the only reason I did not leave her on the side of the road and threaten to call the police if she did not exit my vehicle quickly.
Another Logisticare, Lyft disaster.

If the lady in you car could walk, you should have thrown her out. You are not paid enough to put up with that.
(You are not paid enough to go to Manhattan in the first place, but that is another thing entirely, I have thrown $120+ dollar shore rides out of my car solely because they were rush hour trips to NYC)

So a few months ago, I got a request to pick up "Bob" at a local bar. I see Bob and his wife "Mary" at the corner, and they approach the car. I'm not paying attention to their body language.

Mary gets in the car, then as Bob attempts to enter, Mary SLAMS the door on him and locks the doors, screaming "he doesn't get to go with me!"

I tell her Bob is the one who requested the ride and she goes on a rant, and I see that Bob has walked away from the car and he's not escalating the situation. I relent and start driving.

She's crying and muttering about her husband, also intoxicated. We pass by a police cruiser and I ask she wants me to stop so she can talk to the cop. She says no, and we continue.

I bring her home, she thanks me, I leave. As I do, I see a taxi pulling up with Bob in it. Good times.

My Pov: she was upset but I gave her options. Just because two people are fighting doesn't mean a law was broken.

I refuse all GOGOGRANDPARENT pings.

Yes, she could walk fine. In hindsight I should have asked her to tone it down.

I knew the ride into the city would suck but was gonna be my last ride this morning and figured I'd find a place to park and enjoy the city a bit.

Yes, GoGo shows up on the screen so it can be ignored.

Logisticare shows up as "JANE 5.0, scheduled ride", so logisticare junkies, medicare deadbeats, and poor little old ladies who actually have a justified excuse for subsidized rides, appear to me at first as a profitable ride. I should learn that Logisticare uses all caps in the name and realize its a Logisticare ride.

Good to know. I hope you start to ignore them. I don't do medical transport of any kind.

She needed the boot
I question my decision now that it's pretty obvious she isn't going to tip. When she asked for my advice I told her what she wanted to hear and I was kind and listened when in reality I just wanted her out of my car asap. Ya try to be nice and all ya get is some rich woman screaming in my car!!

Would not tolerate a screaming person .
You're not her husband or a friend or enemy or therapist . Not worth the ear ache
Dude, I totally agree. Like I said, last ride of the morning and I don't live all that far from the city. She dropped the F Bomb more than you hear on NWA's first album!

I would of told her if she REALLY wanted to get back at him....I can help. Just kidding. Sounds entertaining to me. If she was really loud that wouldn't of been too cool.
