Since there's been much debate on here about how uber dispatches jobs and whether lease ants get priority I think it needs a thread of its own to clear things up. It's obvious there is a priority and the rankings are like this...

#1 - splend and maven ants on 27.5%
#2 - other lease ants on 27.5%
#3 - non lease ants on 27.5%
#4 - splend and maven ants on 22% (not many if any around)
#5 - other lease ants on 22% (once again not many around)
#6 - non lease ants on 22%

Now people will shout me down for pointing this out but it should be accepted as fact, there is a reason why splend and maven pay uber to be official uber lease partners, plenty of other companies lease as well but they aren't uber lease partners which is why they are behind splend and maven when it comes to priority. However lease ants on 22% commission (if there are any) are behind owner drivers on 27.5% for a simple reason which is uber's greed.

However ants on 27.5% and leasing a car through another company that isn't splend or maven will still get priority over ants on 27.5% using their own car, since uber knows they lease they want to keep them on the rat wheel.

It's been proven that uber's dispatch algorithms are very complex with many input measures used to dispatch jobs, it's not simply the closest driver that gets the job like uber has led people to believe.

Always good when someone says that something is "obvious" and that something else has been "proven beyond doubt" when all there is is speculation and guessing. A number of splend renters have posted that splend have not told them they have priority and, in one case, they actually said he would have no priority. Is all BS as far as I can see

Tested years ago and the above is correct, thats why everyone should turn an Uber customer in to their own customer
Screenshot and/or link or it is just more BS

BTW the reason Splend and Maven pay to be partners is the same reason they will pay you for introducing a new lease customer to them .. because they make money from it!

I have no proof but I know I'm on the bottom of Ubers barrel when it comes to getting trips(I'm on 22.5% and no lease). For example I will sit/wait on Gertrude St near Catfish for a long time logged on and no pings come my way.At the same time non stop trips from the Catfish and surrounding restaurants for other uber ants. But in fairness to this champion company when it gets super busy the floodgates get open and even I receive multiple non stop pings.

I think I know what's going on and correct me if I'm wrong I'm waiting at chadstone Shopping center for 30 min no jobs at the some time other drivers come from nowhere and pick up riders,,, now the problem is to many drivers I'm talking about way more drivers than demand so the is more drivers than riders now all these drivers use ther set destination and if u notice when you put your set destination you will get 3 jobs after that no jobs it will take you 1.5 hours for your next job, lucky ther Didi and ola and saves the day at this moment uber is not for full time 100% only part time to take the stress out

If the above was true, as a non-lease ant on 22% I would get hardly any jobs. As I have documented here many times, this is not the case.

It's illegal for tradies to do cashies, too.
It doesn't stop them.

However, for some reason, rideshare drivers are always under intense scrutiny from the authorities, but no one cares about tradies doing cashies.
It's not illegal for tradies to do cashies ... it's illegal to do cashies and not report the cash as part of their income.
It is illegal for a non-taxi to do non-booked rides whether it is cash or not.

Ok I'm not going to shout you down but evidence would be great. Yep there's an algorithm but where in it does it use this calculation.
Scottie and Seiko have provided evidence in the past regarding uber prioritising lease ants.

Yes uber tells us that it's the closest driver that gets priority but remember this is the same company that tells us stars and badges > dollars.

I thought it would be illegal to take an unbooked pax on a non approved vehicle (cameras etc?)
You seem to mean street hailing.

If you are serious about this driving career, print your business card, give it to your decent pax, and then get a message or call from them later when they need a lift. Then it becomes a prebooked service.

Regular hospital visiting patients(dialysis, etc) in your area will make a good customer.
