I've been working around San Francisco mostly at night and an Uber Beacon seems pretty handy for getting pax to find my car easier and faster. I visited a greenlight location and they said I wasn't on the list without providing any other details. I'm not looking to discuss the efficacy of the Beacon, buying them second hand or buying third party alternates.
My Uber driving history - I just started driving about over a month ago in San Francisco (since October 27th) and have a total of maybe 170 rides. I drive 2-3 days a week, 6-7 hours a day, and average 30-40 rides. I didn't start driving as much as I do now until late November. I don't plan on working more in the foreseeable future. If it matters, my rating is at a 4.78 but it hovered above 4.9 until about a week ago when I got 2 one-star ratings for things out of my control.
I just want to know from any of you guys who got an email to pick them up what likely qualified you all to get one. I heard that it's average number of trips in a specific time interval or total trips total - but nothing concrete.
Thus, for those of you who got the email about grabbing a Beacon, can you share some details about your history driving for Uber (for lack of better term). This includes how long you've been driving, how often a week, average number of rides per week, hours per day, etc. Ratings and number of reports help too but optional. Just want to see if there's a trend.
