So a friend of mine recently received a notice from Geico cancelling him unless he proves to them in writing that he is no longer driving. In April he drove twice and figuered it wasn't for him. This month Uber contacted Geico to confirm his insurance policy and that's when he received his cancellation notice. I told him to go to the walk in office and try to get it on writing but has anyone ever received in writing a cancellation of their contract with Uber?

Obviously there are facts missing here -- Uberlyft do not randomly contact drivers' insurers five months after they start driving. Most likely the driver in question was in an accident.

In any event, a sworn affidavit from the driver should suffice.

There isn't any formal quitting procedure that I'm aware of. Just uninstall the partner app from your phone and don't look back.
