Pretty much. Some have gone extremely high miles. Just take care of it and hope for the best. It's all you can really do with any car unless you get lucky or get unlucky. Mine is at 138,000
yea your right, i just want to know whats more likely to happen and what are others experience with a high mileage prius, you say yours has 138k but is your car a prius?

A Prius can go to 300,000 miles.
The electric motor does the heavy work of acceleration.

R.P.M.'S are kept low.
80,000 miles is barely broke in for a Prius.
As long as you change the synthetic oil every 10000 miles and cvt' s every 60000, you''ll have very few problems. The gas engine works most of the times at very low rpm's. the electric kicks in at start up and when the car needs extra power, making the gas engine to work smoothly most of the time

...anybody has any experience with a high mileage prius,...
I don't think it's quite high mileage, but I acquired a 2007 this year with about 145k miles on it. It's now at about 165k miles.

When I think of a high mileage passenger vehicle, I personally deem 200k miles to be the floor, however, between engineering advances and urban sprawl over the past few decades, I can certainly see why some folks don't consider anything less than 250k miles to be high mileage.
