Now that I've been driving for a little over a month, I am debating how long I will do this. My car is approaching the 15 year old mark (the limit for Dayton), so it has a finite lifespan as a Uber car to begin with. But after having dealt with all the BS we have to deal with, coupled with the wear my car does get, I am considering stopping driving by the end of the fall at the latest. This should be enough to take care of all my outstanding debt and a few other things.

At first I thought this wasn't bad as a full time gig. The fickle nature of riders though, and being unable to satisfy a number of them, even when going the extra mile, makes me think there is no way I could go at this for more than 6 months.

God bless those of you who go at this for years - don't know how you tolerate it.

Until I get a real job. Been 2 years. All the while conducting a very selective job search. I’ve rejected a couple offers with only rideshare as back up, can you imagine? Always thought once I began working full time, I’d rideshare in my spare time to get my azz out of debt ASAP! Love the gig! Genuinely have a ball with most my riders. But the continual evil shenanigans L & U pull, is raping my spirit.

My spirit used to be so cute and naive, you’d want to hang it from your rear view mirror. Now its shriveled and smells like bourbon and cigarettes.
