It's terrible but I've seen worse on both Eats and Doordash.

Delivery is going downhill rapidly… 90% or more orders now are not viable… my engagement time is about 20% of my total online time. It is that bad. And I am in a large metro area.

This is the worst I've seen from UberEats but I agree that Doordash offers are generally a lot worse.

Recently DoorDash has been much better. If not for my Regulars, I’d be long gone.

Don’t get me wrong, DD is still shitty. Just not as shitty as UE has become.

Customers. Restaurants are on both platforms (most, anyway), but customers usuallyjust use one. I have only one Regular who roams. Saw her on DD “fancy meeting you here!” We had a good giggle.

But as a rule, customers do just one.

I’m waiting for Marshmallow Man and a couple others to start the season and will decide in the Fall. Just see what happens.

It’s like The Brokes found UE. In my area, it seems they didn’t know about it. Now they do.

I don't mean to get off topic here, but has anyone else noticed how many pings show a dollar figure followed by 1-9 cents? ie. $.0x. Like in the screen shots above: $5.09 and $6.02. I'm not a statto but it's caught my eye recently. 25 of my last 100 deliveries have been like this - that's not even counting the ones for even dollar amounts eg $5.00.

It's pretty clear to me that these companies are spreading the wealth to some markets and robbing from others.
A few months ago GH was my main, I wouldn't even look at UE orders 95% of the time. DD was a steady take it or leave it.
Now UE and DD pay the best but it's so random. GH is atrocious. If I pull $60 from them on a given week then it's a win.

The numbers all even out in the end when I stick to my rules and locations but the fluctuations between apps are high noticeable.

How do you manage to have big-tipping regulars with all the ants out there? Drivers usually keep track of big tippers.

I get very few big tippers and almost never get big tippers a second time. There's one big tipper I've gotten three times. She's the only three-time big tipper I've delivered to. I make a note who the big tippers are and who the bad tippers are as well.

I haven't seen too many really bad pings here yet. I'm simply not seeing very many pings at all. Just too many drivers.

It’s a gift. I can smell them. I’m not gatekeeping, I swear. I just have this insane intuition; it is very, VERY rare it’s a mistake (and this is why it hurts so much - you can say I’m spoiled).

I look at the location, restaurant and order and I just KNOW.

The other thing is - be prepared to take a rare hit to maintain a relationship. Richie Rich twice tipped only $10-12 (small orders from cheap-ish places), and I still took them. I see that intersection - and I take it no matter what it is. He orders 5-10 times a week, I’ll make it up.

I have very few Regulars on DD though. I guess it’s the volume that makes it more difficult.

My area actually picks up in the Summer. Waiting for Memorial Day to see how many are coming in. Marshmallow Man is on the older side, I’m worried. Usually by Mid-May I start getting his stuff. Nothing so far

Those are all the subscribers. It was the stupidest idea ever.

My acceptance rate has dropped fro ma 40% something to maybe 23%. I constantly get that stuipd "your acceptance rate is lower than the average" notice
