My wife and i both drive uber part time. She gets invites for incentives and guaranties. I dont. What gives?
Be careful what u wish for! You can easily make the same money working other areas. Why drive only in the downtown/ uptown nightmare for hours and hours. Remember the advertised hourly guarantees are before the booking fee and commission is taken out. They throw that big number at you, but u would have to work 18 hours a day to fulfill it completely. I get the text and ignore. Uber has been known to not pay up completely if u don't run through all the hoops. It sounds good, but really nothing is free in life.

I've noticed when I do a lot of X fares, I get eats incentives. Then when I do only eats, I get X incentives.

Uber isn't going to give you rewards/incentives for something you already do.

I constantly get bombarded with incentives to work inside the perimeter of ATL. $25 an hour guaranteed BEFORE fees....Travis thinks we're idiots.

I can make the same money (if not more) in the suburbs without having to deal with the high stress of driving in the downtown area.

Incentives are offered to drivers that meet certain criteria. Those criteria change periodically. They work sometimes, and sometimes you get a trip from downtown Dallas to McKinney, or Rhome, or Aledo, so there's no way you're getting back in time to meet all the requirements. Not that it matters at that point, because you've beaten the guarantee.

I've signed up, then stopped the texts, then signed up again later. Most of the time, I end up with more money by signing up than by avoiding it. Some weeks, it's an extra $20-40, and some weeks it's an extra $100 or more. YMMV

I'd wager a dollar that driver ratings are factored in to who gets invited. I recall last year that some weeks I didn't get the invite, and other weeks I did. Lately, I get them all the time, and they almost always pay me some extra money, which is what this is all about.
