I've only been driving a week, please forgive me if this is an old topic.

I've learned enough from YouTube videos that the best strategy is to NOT chase the map (don't try to drive into a colored area on the map.)

So I chose a place that seemed to have good traffic, at least it seemed so on the Uber map. In GNV I only see 6-7 drivers at a time, yet when I sit in an area that eventually changes into a colored area, I'm not getting assignments.

So, how do I get more assignments, if being in a surge area isn't doing it?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Study the rider app for a few days. You will find out where to go park and wait.
My old town, I would think down around sw75 and archer rd would be a good spot. Also, that's where I learned to fly at GatorAir.
BTW at 1.80 per mile I'm thinking of moving back! jk Have fun!!!

If ubers computer determines you are closest to the customer, you get the ping.
Trick is anticipating where the requests will be coming from at any given time. Requires experience and knowledge of local area. Where and when are people going out to work or fun depending on time of the day and day of the week.
