was thinking of visiting some friends in Houston, would probably stay there 3/weeks to a month. so why they at work I would do Uber, I do Uber for Sacramento. so my ?? are these and thanks for help.

You need a DPS driving record, physical, drug test, warrant check, FBI fingerprint background check, Uber trade dress sign. Total cost $150+. Time? If you can get in for a physical and drug test pretty quick, you can get a 30 temp permit before you do the fingerprinting thing.
The Houston market really sucks and there are too many drivers here. You'll be wasting your time and money.

yes they won't issue a permit without a valid texas ID
