Uber Melbourne has increased the guaranteed hourly rate in Melbourne till September 20 which is great. You should be earning more than the guarantee, but it's a nice insurance for a string of unusually quiet periods. I see in my payment statement this week I didn't qualify for not meeting the "completion rate" of 90%.
So despite meeting the 1.5 trip per hour and 90% acceptance rate requirements, I am not entitled to the guarantee because of failing to meet a condition that is published nowhere. Nowhere on the page (http://drive.uber.com/melbourne/uberx/melxincentives/) does it mention a completion rate requirement.
I assume completion rate is the percentage of trips that are accepted but not "cancelled by driver". Sometimes I will accept a trip and then cancel after realising the pick up is more than 5KM away or more than 10 minutes away, or on a notoriously difficult street to find a safe spot to stop (Lygon Street for example).
Anyone else in a similar position? I am over the guarantee anyway but it would be nice to know these things in advance.
