A lot of those new drivers are stupid though and I'd bet that a good percentage of them quit within a couple of months or get deactivated for a low rating.

My market is 2.5 months old and I see the tools lining up at the airport. They will sit there for an hour plus and most of the time, end up with a fare going to a hotel across the street.

Also, don't be dumb like those drivers and sit in high traffic areas. Uber sends us constant emails about the hot spots....guess what, all of those noobs flood there and sit....meanwhile the streets and colleges have only a few drivers in them.

We have a college here that I see the same 3 drivers working on the weekends. Mind you, these kids don't tip and are.only going to house parties that are 3-4 miles away....but if you pound enough of those out, it adds up. Last weekend, in a 4 hour period, I took 19 pings (a quarter of them on XL)...just non stop....meanwhile, back at the airport queue....zzzzzzzzz.

Maybe in Buffalo you can sit at airport :))
Here the taxis line up and sleep there.
I feel kinda ackward even at GO stations pulling up pickin up passenger and 10+ taxies sitting and waiting a turn. I pretend I'm picking up a family member :)
Pull up by one of them and be like "Hey, so thinking of driving uber?"

Not just that but I noticed those that can't find a job and decided to join Uber, no longer bother looking for a job. They just stay at Uber, even if the pay is not stable.
I'm well educated but still doing uber for last two months as full-time. Yes I have uber account for 2 years but I'm just getting lazy to properly find a job in my field. This is a lazy job where you don't really have to wake up on a set schedule so a lot of people just keep doing it until uber will kick them out lol. Thanks God uber is getting slower and slower that motivates me to properly find a job and move on from this cursed and God forsaken job

More than 8 cars within 500 meter radius, that is getting over saturated, too many unemployed people doing Uber...welcome to the new way of making money. Soon, we will have to line up to get the food coupons.
Why didn't you think of making it 7 by going offline? Are your needs bigger than others? Uber is a free for all Pie.....have your slice and let others have theirs.

The slice is so minisculine I can't even see it.Is there slice at all? Let me get my magnifying glass.

It's getting shittier and shittier.8 hours online , 4 trips , 50 $ .Minus expenses equals exactly 0$ per hour.Let me tell you this is the end.Uber is half dead and not even kicking. Canada quickly becoming 3 world country with 1$ per hour pay.Get rid of your car while you still can.The market will be flooded soon with used vehicles from bankrupt uber drivers.

It's becoming a 3rd world country, yes, but not because of the pay ;)

Here in Toronto the newbies hang out on King St. West which is a congested street even at the best of times.

Allah bless you Hameed.

You and others like you not bothering to look for other employment despite making less than minimum wage with Uber after expenses, makes it possible for the rest of to still find real jobs.

Please do elaborate mKat - I am sure little Trudeau needs to read this as well.
Baby Trudeau is too blinded by his own ideology to see reality.
