The wide spread surges are fantastic. It's never been so wide spread for a long period of time that I can remember. Does anyone have any ideas why besides not enough drivers and high demand?
Iirc someone suggested Uber had changed the surge algorithm about two weeks ago? That's when it started being slower to build, slower to drop, and more wide-spread. Plus, just maybe an ant it two owned to keep the app of until she? Probably not though...
Or maybe it's near the end of winter and all schools are back in session? I was working yesterday and I wouldn't call it high surge. The surge was there but it was mostly below 2x through out the day, even during bar close hours.
Demand out pacing supply. They don't have enough ants. So they raise the surge to get select, black, SUV and lux log onto x and help pickup the supply of rides.
Otherwise, if there are no cars then people would stop using ride share and just call a taxi.
