Miama rates is like ouch. The cost of liveing is high down there too. How do drivers make money down there?

85 cents a mile for Uberx. Guys drive their nuts off for $100 a day. Almost none of them live in South Beach as too expensive but there are other areas in the County that are way less expensive. Traffic in Miami is very bad. Some drivers drive there and some avoid it unless drop off. I live in Fort Lauderdale and do not drive in Miami except drop off.

We have been getting some surge so that really helps our income.

I always tip my driver $5 too when I ride : )

Its $1.24 a mile here in boston. Id never drive for .85c a mile. If it goes below a $1 i quit.

I tip atleast $5 also.

I drive XL only and never wait. I go back home as I live in a great area for Uber.

The wait list for the airport varies here but other members could answer with specifics as I never wait. I work the app and do not let it work me. Makes this gig enjoyable : )

Good thing you asked! We are currently under a hurricane warning and the temps rarely dip under 100 degrees. The beaches were closed last year due to levels of ecoli bacterial contamination so toxic that swimmers skin was falling off. No one has any money except panhandlers and prostitutes. Our mayor is a Cuban megalomaniac with bushy eyebrows mentored by the late President for Eternity of Cuba Dr. Fidel Castro, who proudly presides over daily public execution by firing squad, students, journalists, homosexuals and others who publicly or privately oppose him. Is life better under the palm? No! Do yourself a solid and stay away.
