And there is a corporate UBER office down there somewhere and it was considered slightly embarrasing that you couldn't order an UBER near it because the drivers naturally avoid it like the plague.

Yeah I got the "I'm sorry, I didn't know it would be this busy" today after the police guided traffic in the opposite direction. I laughed when I had to drive farther away to have them safely get out and started walking back.

I got an eats order from a place right in the middle of it today. Found an already paid for meter spot with 45 minutes Remaining and had to walk about 4-5 blocks.

Got inside and the manager was amazed. "You're the 5th or 6th delivery person. The others all canceled. Here's the food"

Hiked back to my car, got to food drop off. First thing out of the ladies mouth "you sure took your time. I ordered this 3 hours ago"
So explained about the street fair and how I was the first driver to actually attempt pick up. and yep. Stone faced "oh" from her.
