The cut-off date was in October of 2015. If you were activated prior to that date you're in at 20%. After that date you're in at 25%.
They should have been taking 25% from you this whole time. Something change recently?

From today's service fee addendum: Los Angeles partners first activated on or after October 10, 2015: 25%. I presume you were activated in January of 2016 so it's 25%.

LA partners activated on or after Oct 10, 2015 = 25%. Does anyone know what the rates are for LA? I got an addendum that is .85 per mile and .11 minute, today 7/12. Haven't agreed yet.

My first reality check to my "Lyft is a more driver friendly company than Uber" premise was Lyft doing the same thing: 25% for new drivers.
I'm so pissed man. just because I started driving 3 months after oct 2015, they gona rob me and everyone else who started after that time? This is some major bullshit. What the hell is next? They gona increase it to 30% in 6 months?

It's inevitable. I'd guess it'll be on the same exact day just like the fare cuts were. So if I had to guess I'd say October of this year or next we'll see 30% for new drivers. Just a guess, of course.
For every $1000, they gona keep $250 now instead of $200.
Anyone making $5000 in fares per month is gona get $3750 now instead of $4000. $250 per month times 12 is $3000 per month. This move just put millions of dollars in their pocket. Shit is just not fair

The figures in today's LA addendum (.85 per mile and .11 minute) are UberPool rates. LA UberX currently .90/mile, .15/minute.

I don't like it either but that's how it is being an independent contractor.. Think of it as your franchise-fees for all the advertising they do to get you customers.

I also don't like it any more than you do.
The difference is I understand the agreement, I understand that I am not forced to continue driving for them if I don't like any changes to the agreement, I don't feel like Uber owes me anything, and I don't whine about it and use words like "robbery" or "slave labor" (you didn't use that last one, but a lot of whiners have) ..
