Wanted to stop in and say hi. Been doing Uber a month or so. All in all I like it. Meet some interesting people. Just like most wish there were more rides.

Welcome Mike... yes we all wish there were more rides. I think ridership has declined and drivers have increased. I've been doing this part time since start, late March of 2014. I only drive now when I'm heading to work and after work on the way home.

I typically only go online when I have spare time at the house. I live in the TU area. So almost always get a ride there. It has seem like this week it has been extremely slow.

Anyone able to do a pick up at 4am on Tuesday in the Bixby area. Wife and I need a ride to the airport. Is there normally drivers out that early? I scheduled a pickup, but it says it won't notify us if one is not available until after it's too late.

TJ, there are typically a small number of us that work the wee hours of the morning. I know this response comes too late for this specific need but I didn't want your question to stay unanswered. Personally, I pull out of the driveway to start my day of driving around 4am.

If you are scheduling a pickup, you might plan on scheduling that pickup 30 minutes earlier than you normally anticipate. If one of the small number of early AM drivers is tied up on another call, they will get your request, but they will need to take care of the customer they are currently driving before they come get you.

The servers that providing the routing of Uber rider requests is fairly sophisticated. It picks one of the closest driver to you but sometimes they are 10-15 minutes away from your location. Hence the recommendation that you place that request for pickup a bit earlier for early morning service.

Folks, any other early morning drivers reading this forum? What would your recommendations be for someone needing an early morning pickup in Bixby (or Sapulpa, or Claremore, or Owasso . . . etc).
