Kaiser as well. My premium goes up every year. Right now paying just a little over $600/mo for the "best" platinum or whatever coverage. Pretty sure it was around or under $400 when I first got it maybe 6-7 years ago.

Is there a less expensive option, like Blue Shield or whatever?

Having lesser coverage for less $$ doesn't seem to make too much sense. Maybe if I was in my 20s.

Kaiser better. Brother has blue shield. Way worse. He pays $2000. 3 dependents. I'm solo. Girlfriend has free gov crap.

Kaiser is cheapest. Blue Shield is better if u want treatment now, and can pay the deductible. If u don't mind waiting weeks/months for that MRI then Kaiser is
great. Skip HealthNet, worst of both worlds, scamming b/ds.
