Hi all uber drivers,
I'm just asking a curious question..I had a tough day trying to make my personal quota for money for a Saturday and I started around 5am and I felt like I was pulling teeth to get what I need and unfortunately, I fell short of my quota. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do and I understand business calls have slowed down but because of this virus, this is beyond horribly slow for me! 1-2 calls per hour all day!!

I'm trying to stay calm and I'm not making the money like everyone else to pay Bill's is freaking me out. My apologies to everyone about my behavior. I'm trying my best to stay positive.

Respectfully,

The belt is tightening for everybody, obviously. If you're staying positive that's good. No apologies necessary... you should see what some of the other drivers post 😉

Also, a lot of other people right now have it worse off than we do. At least those of us willing to go out there right now are able to make something. That's a lot better than sitting around at home doing nothing, and praying for helicopter money that may or may not come, that may or may not be enough.

Well I started about 5am and did about 2 hours of work on VEYO..took a 2 hour nap because I was still feeling a bit tired and from about 8am on, I was trying everything I could to find calls and I was getting 1-2 calls per hour and trust me my friend, I barely made $100 for a Saturday! That's scared the wits out of me. I know there's tomorrow (Sunday) and I'm hoping to do better as I try my best to stay positive. Thank u

Change your expectations. Right now with this crap expect to make $0. Anything above that is a bonus. That's all you can do for now, or go sign up for Amazon flex.
Are they hiring in Phoenix now?
I was told they don't have a market out here yet but I also could be given wrong information.

Some notes re: Amazon Flex

1) There is a waiting list. They do not provide any information as to how long that waiting list is. I've seen some people burn through it in a couple weeks. I've seen others wait a year. Just keep that in mind.
2) Once approved, it'll take another ~2 weeks to actually get activated on the platform.
3) Flex is just as slow as everything else right now.

DoorDash is making up for the loss for me. Averaging $25-$30 per hour. I turned Uber on yesterday for 2 hours and not a single ride. DoorDash kept me busy all day. I'll keep doing that till Uber picks back up again.
I would guess that all those food pickups will stay busy---Grubhub,Uber Eats Door Dash etc. Also there is another service that delivers groceries is begging for drivers but the drivers claim they are only getting 1 to 3 dollar tips. Ppl are are scared to death to go out which is good I guess
