i dropped a passanger and went on rider app, put address where I picked them up at and the fare was 6.00 more than what I got paid! So fuber is getting paid more money than me? They are charging customer more and we get less! No wonder why they don't raise the fares because they are getting more! My miles and minutes were right so not a mistake! It's bull$h1t! I have done this quite a few times and uber always pockets more money ! Now you know why they don't show you what they charge rider!

Nope, but I had riders tell me how much they're paying at the end; specially after they ask me how much the ride was and tell them they'll get the balance when I end the ride first... Nothing new, Eewber is making way more money than us per ride. But poor Kalanick, he's bankrupt because of us

It's called up front pricing.

Uber tells the rider the fare up front and that is what they charge the rider. They pay the driver on the miles/time it takes. And if you do a great job and get there faster with shorter routes the driver is not rewarded but paid less.

It's legal, since like Uber-Pool, they pay drivers based on the miles/time driven not on what Uber charges the rider.

Unethical and Sneaky Yes, but it's Uber

1. It's happening
2. Should be ILLEGAL

1. I noticed a pay decrease from similar trips that I did in the past. I checked multiple times and the upfront price is higher than what they said was the total price of the trip.
Yesterday I took a couple to Aventura Mall and they told me that the upfront price was $23 and change ( I very surprised). When I ended the trip, I made $13 and change and the total price was $19 and change. The difference up to $23 went to Uber probably.

2. This practice should be very ILLEGAL because the rider is paying, based on mileage and time also. When I use Uber as a rider, I got to be charged for the actual distance and time regardless what the initial upfront price said. Same thing when the trip is longer due to detours, traffic, etc, the rider should be charged more than the upfront scam.
