I agreed to a 100% Primetime trip at EWR and Lyft's substitutes my payout with something called 'Ride Bonus' that only pays out 50%. Has this happened to anyone else yet?

That isn't right that they switch an agreed upon contractual service for another, lower paying one simply at the tick of midnight. I'm disputing it with Lyft now. It's the equivalent of stealing 50% of your surge smh.

You're right, except that unfortunately we agreed to it in the TOS... I'm not sure a contract that isn't negotiable is valid, but I'm not a lawyer

It's a classic case of bait and switch bordering on fraud. It isn't what we signed up for despite what the shills might say. I agreed to a 100% prime time at 11:30, where does it say in the TOS that they can take back 50% after midnight? I'm definitely making an issue over this with Lyft customer support. We'll see if New Delhi bot control even comprehends the issue lol

Sounds like you accepted before the new thing kicked in, but the trip ended afterwards. If you have a screenshot of the ping then I think they would definitely pay you the difference, otherwise I think there's still a decent chance. I don't do Lyft so much, but with Uber, if I get a decent surge I try to screenshot it just in case.

It's my fault for not knowing this change was coming - or for not being paranoid enough to assume Lyft would try to screw me like Uber. I've only done 300 rides and so if Lyft nickel and dimes me this $8, I'll delete the app.

What really pisses me off is that I took this ride to Parsippany-Madison - and I'm still fa*kkin here. One of my alternator pulleys broke off it's mount on Rt 24 causing my drive belt to fall off; thereby losing power steering, coolant to the engine, heater controls and forcing me to limp to the nearest garage in 30° weather wearing only... I've sat all night here in the local Dunkin Donuts waiting for the shop to open at 8...smh

This is why I'm happy that I'm on the Uber team. A far better company than Lyft. Uber would never pull these types of tricks on their partner drivers.

I would suggest that you stop driving for Lyft and come join the Uber team. Believe me you'll be glad that you did.

I have had them steal entire rides . Shades of grey but in my experience LYFT is even shadier than Uber if that is possible .

I understand TOS and ICs and all that BS, but how can they pay me and you differently without knowing or screening either of us for skills or anything? I am still on the % primetime while you're on a flat surge. Us doing the same ride will net us different amounts. I don't give AF what worker status I am, that sounds like discrimination

The gal who helped me sign up was named Susan. Great gal ... super friendly and enthusiastic. The way she described the driving job I couldn't wait to get behind the wheel.

Susan explained to me that Uber only hired "top notch" drivers. And that with Uber we're all part of a large team. She even showed me how Uber lowered the rates per mile, but explained how it's beneficial for us as drivers because that way we get a lot more fares.
