I was averaging about 20-22 an hour in central Contra Costa before bonuses on Uber. Lyft is much slower but I usually average about the same maybe slightly better if tips are good.

If you don't like SF driving, come up to Berkeley. Lyft is heavy there.

You will not finish the bonus in South bay. Nobody uses Lyft there.

Lots of people use Lyft in Palo Alto - Mountain View. Dunno if that qualifies as the "South Bay." It's really busy around there during the hours of 4-8 pm. Even Stanford is still busy on weekdays, there are a ton of people there, it's often dark pink.

It's funny how in the same business we all have such different experiences. I drove Uber only for the first 6 months and now I only drive Lyft because I can't stomach Uber. I make the same base pay as I did with Uber in less time/rides and an average of 80-100 extra in tips a week.

How do you feel about leaving the pub bonus on the table ? I think I'm at that place where I can't take anymore of uber as well, it's just the pdb plus holding me back
