Had to do it again yesterday! Young guys with drinks!

Yesterday (Saturday) I get an XL ping on St. Charles Ave. 6 young guys walking toward the vehicle and every one of them has either a red Solo cup or a can of beer in his hand. I make sure the doors are locked and drive away. I see one of them run into the street with his hands help up in the air like the "Touchdown Jesus" acting all surprised that I'm driving off and canceling the trip. I wonder if the next Uber they ordered actually took them in. Hope not. I saw in my trip list from yesterday that they were going to 634 Louisa St. (The Country Club). Seems like I have an issue with every one of my trips to or from that place, always involving young over-privileged punks!

The equation tells me, and I have been tracking since my first 4 star. Since uber rounds to the nearest hundredth, I cam check if all non 5 stars are 4 or if one was a 3. So, 179 x 5 = 895, if 4 trips are 4 stars, then my total score would be 891, and 891 ÷ 179 = 4.97765~, which rounded up would be 4.98.

However, if 1 trip were 3 starred my total would have to be at least 890, and 890 ÷ 179 = 4.9720~, rounds to 4.97.

Yes, it will be convoluted at a certain point of so many trips, but I check it after every non 5 star rating to see the difference for now. Oh, and I like math a little if it didn't show

why doesn't UBER make some static cling signs NO FOOD NO DRINKS NO SMOKING/VAPING that we can put on the window of each door like the cab drivers have...

Once I had a lady in Lakeview come out her home with a cardboard tray (it appeared to be an old canned beer or coke cardboard tray) filled with crawfish she's just boiled....no lid on it...nothing....she goes I hope you don't mind the smell....I said unfortunately I won't be able to take you....this is my first ride of the day and I don't want that seafood smell in my car.....she said well can I put it in the trunk? (So when I get an airport run their luggage can smell like Zatarains crab boil)I said no, you'll have to call another car....she seemed surprised and said "really?" I said thank you, have a good day and drove off. But you know what I know for a fact.....that would NEVER happen with a cab....they don't play with cabbies or if they want something special they come out there pocket......but with us they expect several amenities for the same low price.....nah, no thanks!

U definitely over reacted dude! Just ask them to finish their drink or lose em. No biggie! No need to drive off! Maybe u shouldn't be out driving on a Saturday night if u dont wanna deal with drinkers. Or at least not in the city. In a city with a 24hr drinking privilege, ur almost 100% sure that any rider in the city has been drinking. Which is the reason why they ordered an uber in the first place. Just ask them to finish their drink.

Good for you! I generally see if they want to guzzle or throw it away. But I can respect not dealing with that from 6 guys.

I had same issue, pax thought he was going to get in my car with a "solo cup". Politeley told him that he can't get in my vehicle or any other vehicle with open alcohol. He gets all pissy with me saying he can and he will. I told him to call a taxi cab and see how that works out for ya! Everytime a pax requests an Uber, the app needs to ask "how many passengers?" "are any of those passengers children under the age of 10?' (carseats?booster seats) PLEASE REMEMBER: NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE UBER VEHICLE Instead of putting the burden on the drivers, Uber needs to hold the pax accountable as well

I definitely get why it's different there. Here, I simply say that's illegal for me just as it is for you. But you can cancel and I'll still hope you have a great night.
