Wow, a two minute ride today with the sun out and temps in the high 60's? Doesn't anyone walk these days?

I have you beat though. Bounced a drunk once after going 3 feet.

I've got literally one block ride. She said she is late for work and waited like 4 mins for me to arrive.

Not to waste the thread check those google maps shots and explain how this is possible:

Gmaps has been messing up a lot lately. It will say something like eta is 9 mins, but if I take a different route I can make it there 20 mins faster...wormhole?

my gut thinks that Google probably rolled out a new pathfinding algo over the years.

A couple of years ago, Google would usually give you routes through side streets to save a few minutes. Nowadays I rarely see that. Probably because some people around the country complained to the news about drivers speed through their neighborhood.

Oh brother, that would be the record, but I think it would have an asterisk next to the Guinness Book of World Records entry, since you terminated the ride yourself.

Why did the chicken cross the road ?
Right, and not walk it, instead of riding. The ride was originallly supposed to go a couple miles, but the entitled pax asked me right off the bat if I could stop at Jewel. It was a Pool ride, and told her no can do on a Pool level of service. She then requested that I drive her across the road to Jewel. $2.25 minimum fare. Thank you very much, now get the bleep out of my car.

and its pool, im surprised u didn't get matched. XD so much for your name being nopoopool
Ha-ha, I know. I have taken a few here and there to rack up a few rides toward a Quest, but I have recently more or less stopped chasing Quest, unless I get a worthwhile offer. Has to be at least 25 for $75 or 30 for $85. I also am starting to drive only Select for the most part, with an occasional X, if the pax pickup is 3-8 minutes or less away in driving mostly in the burbs.

Matched in the burbs is a seldom occurrence, and going 0.18 of a mile, a match ain't happening, that is for sure.

On a nice day like today? Are people really that lazy? No wonder we are obese.
It was not today. It was a few weeks ago on a sunny, but cold day. The original ride request was a destination a few miles away to 23736 Dayfirld Ct. Plainfield. When I informed her that the TOS for a Pool ride does not allow for stops, and that if other drivers are accommodating that request, then that driver is probably going to be sitting when a match request possibly comes through, and thus delaying the arrival for that pickup and making the matched pax possibly cancel. She then requested that I drive her across the road to Jewel.
