Grown woman urinates in my back seat during 12 minute ride

I picked up a family at Seaworld tonight.
Father, mother, and two kids.

I take them to Hotel Circle, a 12 minute ride.
Next PAX tells me the seat next to him is wet.
I check and where the mother sat, was a big urine wet spot on my cloth seats.

It soaked into the foam of the back seat, and it stinks.

I reported it via the app with photos.

Just disgusting. She had not been drinking, there was really no excuse for urinating in my back seat.

If I had not picked up another PAX I could have called the Father and asked him WTF? Are you going to pay for this?

Worst part it ended my night 4 hours early. So I missed out on a hundred bucks.
I ended up with only 89 bucks earnings and a urine puddle.

Some people are disgusting.

They will not be happy when the get the credit card charge from Uber for the seat cleaning I will have done in the AM.

I did use my shop vac and carpet cleaner to get as much as I could out.
I couldn't let a pee puddle dry in the foam of my back seat.

Tomorrow I will find an auto detailer that can fit me in on an emergency basis.

Does anyone know if Uber charges them for lost hours? I am hoping, but not expecting much more than recovering the cost of the seat cleaning.
Good luck, I was paid only one time, after the pax agreed to pay....Uber first two answers were no.

I had to press Uber to contact the pax... Who felt guilty and paid, otherwise Uber was not going to pay!
UberX sounds like a perfectly logical place to take a pee. Just like any other cheap ride.

Seriously tho, joking aside, she probably had some kind of urinary problem. Just the same with any bodily fluid, vacuum first, then rinse with some water and vacuum that up, then blot with upholstery cleaner / shampoo and a towel. Problem solved.

Uber always seems to side with the pax.
I will press Uber to recover the cost of the seat cleaning at the minimum.
The pax needs to know it is not OK to piss in someone's personal car.
Who would do that?
Disgusting.

I want the urinator to pay for professional cleaning.....

Of course I did the above cleaning procedure, but the urinator needs to know she can't do that without paying the damages. You know the car will always smell like urine. That will not go away on hot days in San Diego.

I think all will agree, she needs to pay.

Hell, would you piss in a persons car?
I would never, ever do that. Problem or not. I would pee on the side of the road before I would pee in a person's car.

Disrespect for other people's property needs conciseness.

Yeah it sucks. Also I don't know if you knew that a backseat snaps right out. You just push it backwards towards the seat back and it pops out. Then its just a flimsy cushion you can remove and wash it however you want, no professionals required. If you do it right the smell will be gone after a few days unless she was a really really dirty person.

Still, I want the revenge factor.....

The only logical answer to that, is to find the lady that peed in your car and then go pee in her car, or even all over the outside if that's all you can do.

Just because I can fix it, doesn't mean she should do it.
Normal looking people can do disgusting things.

Did she think the next person that used that seat wouldn't notice?

I do want Uber to at least embarrass them.
I do wish I had discovered it before I took the next pax.
I would have embarrassed them. Probably intimidated them out of $60.
Most likely more than I will get from Uber.

I suspect Uber made $2 off that ride.
They make much, much more than that from me daily.
I will push that point with customer support.

Do I expect much, no. Will I try, yes.
Would you? I think so.

I know where they are staying, but I don't like police........
Pee on someone in CA and you will be registering as a sex offender for the rest of your life.

Yeah I know, joking of course...

But, while I can't say I've had exactly the same experience as you, I've had similar, and can only tell you that you can expect it. In this business you trash your car, or other people do rather, however you want to say it. Clean your seats and scotchgard them. You're doubling as your own maintenance crew when you use your own car. If you can conquer this then you'll be better prepared for the next "mishap".

I hear you talking.....
My clean up is probably good, but I still want the woman to be embarrassed.
Maybe she will not pee in your car next time.

I want her to know Uber knows. Maybe she will call a cab next time.
They like pee, or so it seems from the smell in their cars.

Every public transportation vehicle gets peed in sooner or later. That's why they smell the way they do. You can't expect to drive uber for any reasonable period of time with a specific vehicle and expect it to not smell like a taxi eventually. Its just part of the game.

Uber does not pay for lost time.
Uber does not pay for lost time.
Its incalcuable anyways, if that's even a word. From any legal standpoint, you only get what it takes to correct a previous wrongdoing, nothing more.

I understand from other posts......
Still it is not cool to sit in someone car, stone sober, and pee.

I want her to be "so embarrassed" by the phone call or email from Uber.

Really I just want to know she knows that is not cool.
Yeah well... Unrelated, but some lady here last weekend ran her car over a sidewalk, a tourist, then a palm tree and a parked car before hitting a city trolley and decapitating the tourist and is still free today with a drivers license. So there is no justice in this world.

I wouldn't be so worried about some pee. Slightly agitated at least. I do hope you get paid for it tho. You might deserve $500 although only get 100-200, cut your losses and call it a day.

I would like money, but we all know that is not happening.
I may get to discourage her from peeing in your car if Uber calls.

No one pees in another person's car during a 12 minute ride without deciding it is OK.
It is not OK. I want her to know that.

Really, I want her to take a cab next time.
