Hopefully you don't experience much downtime.Back bumper a bit damaged.
Does anyone know of a good and reasonably priced auto body shop or person?
Dont really want to get my insurance involved. Thanks
if you did not get the license plate of the other car it's not an accident you can prove. Uber would cover it or your uninsured motorist would cover it if you have the other drivers info... or at least a license plate.I had accepted the ride (didn't start the trip yet) and I was waiting for the pax to arrive. A car hit me from behind and took off. Should I be covered by Uber's insurance because I ACCEPTED the ride already?
That is not a favor to ANYONE! She shouldn't be driving EVERIt might be painful but I would say cover this one yourself.
for a body shop I used bertolli's auto in San Rafael they got the repairs done so quick while everyone wanted me to make an appointment then bring the car later , it's in Marin though so not much of a deal lol however the owner runs the shop herself , she is so friendly and looks to be hungry for business
drop by and explain that you will be paying without insurance see if she can lower the worker's hourly fee cause that's where you pay a lot
Mm sorry hang in there ! I was hit too while waiting a few days back by clearly a tired uber driver with riders in the car , I looked her in the face realized she must have dozed off for a second and just told her not to worry about it ( hopefully I helped and she will take it as a warning)
Screw that you should get paid out by your insurance for that. Complain your neck hurts and you'll go to the doctor. Easy $$$I had accepted the ride (didn't start the trip yet) and I was waiting for the pax to arrive. A car hit me from behind and took off. I accidentally "modified" the bumper of Uber's Prius by backing into a fence post. It looked crooked and there was a small scrape in the paint. After a bash or two with the bottom of my fist, the bumper popped back into place, and I touched in the scuff with some model airplane paint.Back bumper a bit damaged.

I disagree. You can claim uninsured motorist even if you don't have a license plate. I did it 15 years ago when I was involved in a hit and run. Dude took off and insurance covered all my bills, a new car (it was totaled), and pain and suffering under uninsured motorist. Oh, and my rates DIDNT go up. It was $40,000 settlement, plus medical bills, plus a new car.if you did not get the license plate of the other car it's not an accident you can prove. Uber would cover it or your uninsured motorist would cover it if you have the other drivers info... or at least a license plate.
This shouldn't be too hard to fix. If it was me, I'd push the dent out from behind and see how it looked. It'd certainly be a lot better, but would not be perfect. You can use a hair dryer on plastic to get the final creases out.No sounds or anything while I drive. I atted a pic..
Uber only covers when the passenger is in the car.You should get your insurance involved since you were the only one in the car. They won't know you were driving for Uber unless you tell them. You should look into ride share insurance for the future. Its not expensiveI had accepted the ride (didn't start the trip yet) and I was waiting for the pax to arrive.
