But still, there is an oversaturated market and too many drivers, you have to struggle to make a dime. I have consistently driven 40 hours per week in Niagara for the last 3 months and average $375 per week. Take away 20 percent for gas and that's $300 a week not including depreciation, taxes, and insurance on the car and that works out to $7.50 an hour, less hen minimum wage. Basically you run your car into the ground and collect the value of the car as you go along and at the front end because at the back end your car is worthless. Throw in oil changes and new tires and worn out brake pads and you are driving for a negative sum.

Maybe stop copying and posting the same thing into multiple posts and creating a new thread with the exact same post? Maybe go out and drive?

No, no, I think it's important he continues to copy and paste dissuading other drivers. We should help him by driving and reassuring him his pastes are still accurate...

To be honest, he is accurate...the problem is he is in Niagara region and there is not many customers there...the only way to make some bucks in Uber is you live in dense city like Toronto and drive after 2 am to or late night to have drunks ridding and throwing up in your car...not worth it, besides a good night sleep is better than anything in the world, #$%^^ Uber!

Look, it's a side gig, but when you have to work 40 hours to make it a side gig it's frustrating. When I hear about all.these Toronto drivers making $1500 working part time I get jealous.
There are no drivers working part-time making $1500 per week. If they tell you that, its flat out lie. You'll need to work around 70 hours in a week to make that on UberX.

As most of us are familiar with Einsteins saying, "Doing the same thing multiple times expecting different result is the definition of insanity".

You stated that you've been driving UBER in the Niagara region for many months and it yields revenues of $375 a week with 40 hour shifts before expenses. After expenses, it amounts to $5-$7 or even a negative sum according to your calculations.

I, and I'm sure any person in a sane state of mind would immediately stop exerting their efforts to what seems to yield a negative net income and find other means to facilitate positive cash flow and increase their means of living.

Right now, you have one option: TAKE ACTION

1) If you want to continue driving UBER, move to a metropolitan city with an established client base if that's a viable option. I've been able to consistently make $22-$30/hr and in the past generate gross weekly pay up to $900-$1200 for 40-50 hours of work. You will start off with $16/hr and will learn you way to manipulate the system to get you higher earnings.

OR

2) STOP driving Uber. Take a week off from the world and FIGURE OUT, what you want to do with your life. If you're claiming net income of $5 and below, ANY JOB will pay you much more with benefits. If you have some academic background or work interests, apply in that field. There are many jobs that pay $12+/hr without any experience required.

While working, look for avenues to increase your income by adding to your education or pursuing a venture. Recently, apart from my job, I dedicate just 15 hours to driving and spend the rest of my time focusing my pursuits on my entrepreneurial passions. I have A PLAN for every aspect of life and know exactly what to do to get there.

Spending time (that takes away from your income) to increase your knowledge and to use the brain to form a life process that'll help you become SUCCESSFUL BY DESIGN is more profitable than anytime and 'money made' driving uber in Niagara or Toronto... it's priceless.

I would wish you good luck, but I don't wish good luck where hard work is required, so work hard.

Uber is like Real Estate, one guy like Trump makes 90 percent of the money and the other 99 percent fight for crumbs.

$1 per hour not including taxes.
Enough with the self pity man. You're in Niagara and it's the middle of winter, what do you expect? You'll make money during tourist season on certain days of the week. It will be dead the rest of the time. There's like 5 people down there.

If you're losing money, why are you still driving?
