They just approved fast tests. It takes 45 min to get results. I think they'll start using them next week and we'll see numbers skyrocketed.

The test numbers dont even correctly reflect the number of people that are actually infected. The percentage of people currently infected is ~20% of new yorkers. So if you didn't take off from last week chances are you have the virus now. It's also better to have the concrete data from the testing than just sitting on your hands and hope not too many old people get sick.
