I don't think it logs you off. It prevents you from getting new pings.

Actually, it is not during a trip. It stop sending you new ping and goes offline once you swipe off to complete the existing trip. I used the feature once last night for a pee break. It was less stressful when need to leak.

It's good for stopping stacked pings when doing multiple stops when address are put in the app as well. Should improve acceptance rates a bit.

Pause is really useful for situations where you want to not pickup anything, like bathroom break, etc, but be "Covered".
(I think its still considered Phase 1).
Also if you need to file a report too.
