Not everyone goes to heathrow. London black cab prices 2016 up to £9.0 per mile is extortionate. No matter how you guys put spin on it.
London black cab is most expensive taxi service in world.

No I just feed the facts to black cab trolls. Ripping off holiday makers dosent appeal to me.
I see all the time passengers getting out of london black cabs middle of the trips in heavy traffic when they realise exorbitant £9 per mile charge kicks in.

£9 pm never happens that's when traveling at less then 5/6 mph for a mile which doesn't happen , because unlike you we would use alternative route.

And this seems to have happened in the US, and as mentioned do these online recordings never show what caused the situation, to be honest is sounds like the passengers are being antagonistic and likely spent most of the trip trying to wind up the driver, this statement could easily be shown to be incorrect, all the Passenger has to do is show the rest of the footage unedited.
On the subject of £9 per mile I would suspect that in most cases £4/5 per mile is nearer the truth.
Unlike what some Taxi drivers believe I have nothing against Cabbies, I do have something against people who think they are in some way superior to the average PH driver (or any other person) simply because of the KoL. But then I don't think a Solicitor is superior or better than the average person either regardless of what that person may believe.
I don't see a YB as inferior to a GB and don't differentiate between an out of London Taxi driver and a London Taxi driver.
I will however challenge it when somebody posts bollocks. Or make racist or derogatory generalisations.
When you bounce such generalisations at a London Cabby they don't like it. As can be seen on this forum. Personal attacks and intimidation seem to be the norm.
Genuine debate should be met with debate.
Abuse should be met with abuse.
Incorrect info should be met with correct info.

The problem with statistics is they can be read in more than one way.
If there are around 25k Cabbies doing these 100million jobs the how many jobs do you think the 80/90k PH drivers are doing?
The big PH firms are in general bigger and richer than the big Taxi circuits.
Would you agree that 80/90k PH drivers are likely doing something like 250/300 millions jobs a year?

No - I work at what I consider to be a busy account based PH firm. And whereas the average taxi fare may go a few miles across the West End or City the average PH job will go a longer distance. So therefore less jobs per day per driver. Of course the overall number will be higher when there are 4x the number of drivers though. But pound for pound I think a taxi driver does more jobs.

So how many jobs do you think the 80/90k PH drivers are doing?
If they do 10 jobs a day over 5days, using 90k as your driver number gives over 230millions jobs.
Comparing that figure with your upper figure means that the public likes PH 2.3 times as much.
Even at 5 jobs a day there is a preference for PH.
Remember you are the one that started producing statistics.
