Also most credit cards offer protection with card membership. Amex has never expected me to pay for fraudulent purchases. It depends on your bank. Some banks (Chase and Citi, that I know of) give both equal protection. I wouldnt be surprised if the rest of the large banks did the same.My understanding - Debit cards do not have the same fraud protection as a credit card.
