You do know your bank account is FDIC insured against theft and fraud so if you got skimmed you wouldn't be liable for the $. Also most credit cards offer protection with card membership. Amex has never expected me to pay for fraudulent purchases. Maybe you should have real info before you go spouting, only spend cash at the gas pump bs logicThe sheriff was on TV a few months ago saying that credit card skimming is rampant in Clark County, and that noone should ever use a card at any gas station in Clark County.
I got both of my debit cards skimmed at Terrible Herbst stations. Fortunately, my banks were really great about it and took care of everything within minutes. So what I've done is get a ChevronTexaco card with a very low limit, so that if it gets skimmed the potential damage is very small and my bank accounts are safe.
Right haha I'm a cabbie lmfao I just moved to Vegas a year ago and started rideshare back in December. I wouldn't work for anyone but myself. Been self employed since I lived In New York. And maybe you should go back to third grade and repeat the portion where the rest of us learned reading comprehension. Then you might notice that it was Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo who made the statement about not using cards at gas stations in his county. I spouted nothing, cabbie. Go back to your long haul.
It depends on your bank. Some banks (Chase and Citi, that I know of) give both equal protection. I wouldnt be surprised if the rest of the large banks did the same.
