Uber does offer taxis in Seoul and Inchon. I wonder why the French application is such a mess. There are a number of functioning taxi applications in Europe: My Taxi and Hail-O come to mind. Both of them were here. I used them, in addition to Uber Taxi. In Washington, Uber Taxi always was in first place. Hail-O ran a poor second and My Taxi, a poor third. My Taxi was the first one in this market.
I understand that Hail-O did give Uber Taxi quite the run in Boston, New York, Chicago and Toronto. The Toronto employees wanted to keep it going on their own and simply pay a concession to Hail-O. Sadly for them, they could not work it out with Hail-O.
With those available models, it is amazing that whoever started this in France can not make one that works well for the user and driver. Both Hail-O and My Taxi were easy for both user and driver.
