Let me remind you what it looks like when Uber is only charging miles and time plus surge from PRE PANDEMIC/PROP 22. This was Valentines Day week right before Covid.
Font Material property Screenshot Rectangle Parallel

61 hours online
173 rides
Only $123 in promotions
7 days worked
$28.36/hr online

That’s a lot of work and a lot of rides. Now look at things POST PANDEMIC AND PROP 22.
Product Rectangle Font Material property Screenshot

29 hours online
69 rides
$427 in promotions
5 days worked (less than 3 hours per day on Monday and Thursday I might add)
$48.72/hr online

Played golf Monday, then enjoyed two days off, didn’t start working Saturday till 10pm.

Which one do you want? 😂🤣😂🤣

The labor market completely changed as a result of the pandemic. The great resignation, supply chain issues, government spending, etc. all have made inflation hit record highs. We're about 6% inflation from a year ago.

We're making more dollars but those dollars also don't go as far. Have you seen the price of a California Burrito? It's $10+ at most places now.

There has also been, separate inflation issues, upward pressures on wages/labor as a result of the pandemic. This isn't specific to Uber. The entire workforce dynamic globally has changed since your screenshot - you can't look at it in isolation and simply say 'Uber on average increased driver earnings' without taking into account that almost all forms of labor have increased, costs of living have increased, and there are other opportunities - many employers are desperate to find staff so there's increased likelihood of opportunity cost by driving for Uber.

Uber is taking advantage of the price momentum from the pandemic to increase passenger rates and somewhat simultaneously driver rates. I agree with you that the average earnings for time has increased since pre-pandemic even on an inflation-adjusted basis. However, this is unlikely to persist indefinitely. It also doesn't mean that has actually increased value to drivers by an amount proportionate to their increase in fare take.

You can kowtow to Uber all you like. Perhaps we'll all get our money from Uber's corpse when they fail their Prop 22 litigation, and fail their lawsuits from the DLSE and State AG.

I remember when a Jumbo Jack was .99 or 1.29 w/cheese back in the early-mid 2000s. I went to a Jack In the Box a few months ago where the same Jumbo Jack was 2.89 or 3.09 w/cheese. Went again last night and the price has gone up a full dollar and a half to 4.80-something. For reference, this burger used to be on their value menu.

and here is a 3k week....i would worry too mucj about the hours as i worled about 35 total....with multiplier you set your price and keep app on until your price point is hit....so its not really 80 hrs. came out to about 88 an hour based on real hours worked.
What is it about his numbers that makes it false? Seriously I'm confused why you think that
It’s this cute game Nate and I play where he says that everything I say is false and everything he says is true.

Well I already see a flaw in your hypothesis. Back in Feb 2020 there was no promotions. Well atleast when I looked back in mines i didn't see any. Not even in Dec of 2020 but then again from Oct to Dec I was only doing eats

I can only afford a JUNIOR jumbo jack (no cheese), or a chicken sandwich, but not both. Only 2 months ago, both were $1.49. Occasionally I got one of each. Today it went up to $1.89. I think a year or two ago it was $0.99.

Inflation? Higher gas prices? No problem! As independent contractors, we can raise our prices like any other business on the planet and simply pass the increased costs to others.

Oh wait, no we can't!

I guess we're bottom feeders after all.

I was confused, prop 22 passed in November 2020 but the prop 22 guaranteed earnings is included in the screenshot from supposedly February of 2020? 🤔

Your right...See...Live posted a false post and a flase point. I am tired of people like live who consistently spread disinformation ...I havenet heard him have any issues with consistent reductions in pay and reduction in freedoms. Live is obviously part of a team of individuals working to spread positive PR for UBER and combat negative sentiment.

UBER is going DOWN. Unless they give us our rights back so we hae freedom to choose what we make, and get back in compaince with AB5, and return everything they 180d with PROP 22, were getting lawyers, politicians, and companies involved in what can only be called the biggest fraud on indpendent workers since the fraud and deciet at ENRON.
