186 fare
21 tolls

And that how you make money boys and girls
Stop driving for uber before it destroys us all
you are being a nice guy using the meter of out of town trip, I never use the meter and the rate book shows from JFK to Edison NJ is $202 plus 20% tip plus tolls, with Uber, you will get $80.36 for the miles, $17.50 for the 50 minutes driving time = $97.86 - $29.36 (30%uber fees) plus $20 for the tolls =$88.50 and no tip. I am glad you show this and educate what real money making is. and who needs a return trip with this earning? if uber driver booked $400 gross a day, you end up payong much more than the garage shift lease since you pay $120 to uber plus your car and ins. and not everyone own a medellian. I never give up yellow, if I have to choose, I give up Uber.

Lets not forget your 1 million dollar payout for your medallion to drive.
Another delusional Fuber Sucker
Ahhh...NO Buddy....Not everybody paid $1Mill for a medallion...
Some had it for under $200K and cashed out at a $1Mill...some paid off their $200K and still cashing out by driving & leasing ....

Ya Fuber knobs need to be educated on the Taxi industry & how valuable the Medallion was but yet love to drive for pennies on Mile while sweating out the entire ride you going to get 5-Stars or not ...instead getting Tip$$

Fuber On...

look at the tip, driving uber need to have 8 - $8 trip to make $42 net while yellow cab earn that tip and driven 0 miles ...lol..yellow cab now might not be making $4-$500 a day because but $3-$400/ day is not an issue with in 10-11 hours shift, unlike uber's 14-15 hour shift....wtf..and people still falling into their B.S.

92 and York to Woodbridge
It's wasn't great it was ok
Wasted 20 min cross town traffic and Lincoln tunnel and guys place was 5 miles from Woodbridge but I didn't argue he was nice guy and gave me good tip and ues was slow anyway
I will upload more photos soon so there New drivers might stop working for monster and destroying us all and creates huge traffic jams

My uncle paid $150k for his medallion. He sold it b4 it plummeted. Feel bad for the guy who bought it
He was lucky guy , I had buyer for 1.1 mil but I bought it for retirement so didn't want to sell . I don't have education and don't have experience run other business. I wish I sold though

just enter the flat rate into the meter, works the same.

some people just don't know when to stop same as the green taxi, I knew they were a failure at the time they start.... some paid 800K on the med and default the bank. that's one of the reason they think uber is great and now suffer the low income consequenses

what ever it is ,it is . it will not go back up. unless the mayor impose a rule demand app company must not charge taxi fare less then the existing taxi fare, then , we all have a fair competiton

I don't have anything against yellow. Having said that I have to add that only fool can NOT see where it's going. So yellow customer paid $250 for fare to Edison NJ while on Uber he would have paid around $130-140. It is not long before he gets educated about prices and will choose Uber next time. $110 is a big difference. Those $250 could get him a ride in 2017 Escalade with all amenities. And it's not only about pricing. Most customers that I have on Uber start telling me how they hate you yellow guys. They state that you have filthy, smelly cars, rude, not reliable. According to them there is nothing to talk about with you because you are professional drivers while most uber drivers have college degree and come from different walks of life. And it's not only about NYC taxis. LA, Chicago, etc.

And to that guy who says to stop working for a monster and destroying industry. There is no coming back, industry's already been destroyed. Even if 10K drivers that read this site magically stopped working for UBER tomorrow it will have 0 difficulty in replacing them. Because economy as a whole is screwed, there are not enough good paying jobs out there despite what those BS labor reports claim. And city won't do anything to protect you coz they look at larger picture. If they protect you then 80K Uber drivers would be on streets unemployed and demonstrating. In my view it's better to go with trend, not against it, i.e. sell that medallion while you can get something for it.

So right. The bulk of medallion owners bought in quit a long time ago. Few medallions changed hands at those elevated prices people talk about. My medallion changed hands three times since it was issued. I paid 26k in 1975. The previous owner had it for over 10 years before selling out. Most owner drivers that I keep in touch with hung on to their medallions all these years, because they wanted to avoid paying taxes on their profits.

Did they go to college to driver Uber? Did they major in the Music or Ehucation so they could have a stimulating conversation with their passengers. You know the ones in the back seat.....that gives them tips on the way out. If I had a degree and was forced to do Uber I'd be a basket case.

350K for the privilege to drive ONLY! and you guys make fun of ppl buying 50k vehicles... If you look at your "investment" (350K) compared to the shitty uber rates at the end of the day YOU are loosing money. with 350k i can get a nice house and work 8hrs 4 days at week to pay my bills and eat lol...

BTW I get uberblack rides from manhattan to edison and montclair nj and I get the same amount of money without the hassle of waiting 2hrs at the airport for a ride driving my 35k MDX lol (no tips but **** it I can get a $50 ride from EWR to the city)

PS. I dont count my car payments & insurance as expenses, at the end of the day I can use my car for personal and work related.

Should we get pay more? ... YES! do i make more money than a yellow cab ? maybe no but my expenses are wayyy less at the end of the day
