Since I've moved back to MD, the money has been so much better for less actual driving.. and that's just Lyft! My Uber account is still going through the transfer process.

The rates in Florida were just terrible considering the traffic. Orlando was even worse. It was insulting. $.60/mile and so much downtime.

Y'all really need to get serious and organize. There's some strong markets out there that still have happy drivers.

How far are you from deleware and Jersey beaches? Those areas should be rocking summer time.

Do you know If Delaware Maryland and jersey markets the Florida based apps would work?

I used to live in Maryland and Jersey. Maryland would be a better market my guess. A large middle class of government employees and they eat and drink out. Plus 3 major airport Bwi Dulles and national all within an hour of Dc. It all depends on rates and numbers of drivers. Here Florida’s just too many drivers. Called it a day at noon. Just too hot and too slow. Drivers here can’t organize. Too many transients. Too many cultures and languages just hard to contact and organize

Cnn is running a report stating that there are THOUSANDS of criminals driving for uber.

One guy a murderer on parole. I've seen him in the mia lot driving lux...

Uber will be forced to deactivate people sooner than later. All this bad press is going to bring the government down on them.

I would imagine certain cities is like Myrtle Beach with tons of retirees and people from the Northeast moving here and driving oversaturated the market.
Northern retirees in many southern cities driving. I'm one of them.

Add in all the immigrants and it's a formula for poor earnings. Places like Maryland that are generally higher cost of living most retirees leave Most of my coworker from DC moved south and southwest upon retirement only one I know of moved north and he moved to Alaska lol

I've seen it. There's at least 2 women in benz's in Broward I've seen.
Do the math.

This is seattle. 55% increase in number of drivers in less than 2 years. Imagine the increase in Miami!

In 2016, Uber and Lyft were forced to reveal that they had 9,200 drivers in the city. Today, Uber alone has 14,000 drivers in Seattle, according to the Supreme Court.

Just had a guy from DC in car. He only drives Uber in the DC area. Makes $250 a day. Showed me his week. Monday to Thursday $1114. He said it’s ping after ping after ping. 86 cents a mile and 13.6 cents wait. He showed me his rides. I explained we only have a week like that here during spring break. But there it’s every week

I think I found an example of someone who doesn't know how the app works this morning.

I have rider apps on at all times to see where cars are and saw only 1 xl car in the area on the way home.

I drove by the CVS parking lot and only 1 car there capable or xl and it was a new navigator lol

I ordered an xl to confirm and it was him lol profile said 1 month experience and probably has SUV and LUX unchecked

Looked old and I assume Haitian based off name in the profile

I drive to the Baltimore market now.. $1.12/mile, .08/min. Over $1100 in less than 50 hours and that's just Lyft while my Uber account transfers

Miami market if too slow. Fares should be significantly higher for the lack of demand. Especially during off season

I am going to order Maryland crabs and order an uber express pool to drive them to Florida. I'll give you $20 for your deadhead miles back. Interested?
